Creative Ad Agency Burghardt+Doré joins the Madden Media team!


Madden Media, a leader in destination marketing services, announced that is has reached an agreement with Burghardt+Doré to join the Madden team. Burghardt+Doré is a full-service creative agency that focuses exclusively within the travel and tourism industry. This partnership started over six years ago when Madden Media, a Google Premier Partner, began providing digital marketing services to the Burghardt-Doré team and their amazing clients.

With the increasing need to couple great creative with data-driven performance on marketing campaigns, the combination of these companies promises to improve marketing outcomes for clients. Their experience will add to the already robust marketing and media buying capabilities of Madden. Their commercial video experience and the growing need for high-quality video on digital channels such as YouTube and Connected TV, Madden expects to help their clients grow throughout the changing media landscape.

In addition, Nicole Doré will complement Burghardt’s big-idea thinking as Creative Strategist at Madden, bringing her creative and stylish approach to branding and design.

AAF 2018 Chic Davis Memorial Award Goes to Steven Meckler, Photographer

TUCSON, Ariz. (May 2, 2018) – The American Advertising Federation (AAF) has selected AAF Tucson Board Member, Steven Meckler as the recipient of its 2018 Chic Davis Memorial Award. The national recognition will be officially presented at the AAF annual national conference ADMERICA, during the Salute to Achievers luncheon ceremony on Friday, June 8, 2018 at The Hilton Chicago in Illinois.

The Chic Davis Memorial Award was developed to honor Chic Davis, a long-time member of the AAF, whose years of service were committed to the success of the American Advertising Awards. The award is presented annually to one AAF member from a local market who has championed the American Advertising Awards and helped elevate the program’s image, financial success and awareness among entrants and members. The award recognizes their outstanding service to this important American Advertising Awards program.

Steven Meckler was born in Brooklyn, New York where his passion for photography began.  He attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in photography. His first job was as a medical photographer at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in New York.  In 1980, he moved to Tucson and established Meckler Photography. In addition to his commercial photography business, Steven has taught digital photography at Pima Community College, and workshops for high school photo students throughout the county. He has published two photo books, “Steven Meckler Photographs Tucson Artists” and “Vera: The Art and Life of an Icon”, which showcases the artwork of Vera Neumann.

Steven has been a strong advocate for the local advertising market for many years and has been a member of the American Advertising Federation Tucson Board of Directors since 1998. He has given support and mentorship to new generations of marketing professionals with his work on the Education Committee.

Steven was awarded the “Advertising Professional of the Year” by the AAFT in 2006. He was inducted into the Tucson Advertising Hall of Fame in 2014.
