2013 Public Service Call for Applications

CLICK TO DOWNLOAD THE 2013 APPLICATION
The time is now! Since the early 1960s, Ad 2 chapters across the nation have been providing pro-bono advertising and marketing campaigns to non-profit organizations in their communities. Public Service campaigns are showcased for public viewing at the annual AAF National Conference. All campaigns are professionally produced and team of judges selects the campaign that best served its community each year.

AD2 Tucson accepts applications every year for local Tucson non-profits to apply for their pro-bono services.

Past Recipients:

2012- Pima Council on Aging
2011 – JobPath
2010- BICAS and Skin Cancer Institute
2009 – Angel Children’s Center

How it Works:

  • Fill out the following questions and send it to AD2Tucson@gmail.com
  • Once all of the applications have been returned, the Public Service Committee will review each one, and call the contact listed on the form if they have any additional questions.
  • The final three applicants will be interviewed by the Public Service Committee.  This interview will most likely take place at the beginning of August, 2012.
  • AD2 Tucson’s Public Service Committee will choose the top applicant.
  • Last year we were able to help out the other top applicants as well through the Eller Marketing College at the University of Arizona.
  • From this point, the contact of the organization will meet again with the committee, and work closely to develop a marketing campaign customized to the non-profit’s needs.  In the past the marketing campaigns have included:
  • Branding Design
  • Brochure, Poster, or Print Design
  • Web Design
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Advertising
  • Event Planning
  • And much more!

This campaign usually lasts until the late winter and early spring.  AD2 Tucson has a deadline from the National organization, so it is important that the applicant be aware of the schedule from the beginning and commit to review deadlines, etc.

The deadline for the 2013 Public Service Campaign is approaching on July 27,2013. Interested in applying?  CLICK TO DOWNLOAD THE 2013 APPLICATION to see what it’s all about!

Past Projects

2011 – JobPath

JobPath is a nonprofit that provides training and support to underemployed adults in Tucson so they can find better paying jobs to support their families. The 2011 campaign promoted JobPath’s Aviation Technology Program to a target audience of men ages 27 to 45. Ad2 provided the organization with an aviation-specific logo, promotional brochures, poster, website banner, Facebook page and presentation materials.

2010 – BICAS

In 2010, recipient was BICAS, a community education and bicycle-recycling center where people can learn how to repair and build a bike, while while also giving back to the Tucson community.

“More than 30 local nonprofits submitted an application this year,” said Ad2′s public service chair, Jessica Castillo. “It was a tough decision, but our team thought BICAS was the perfect match for our team of young professionals. We are excited to share BICAS’ mission of sustainability and education with the rest of the Tucson community.”

Ad2 will also be donating a public service announcement to the runner up, University of Arizona’s Skin Cancer Institute.

2009 – Angel Children’s Center

In 2009, Ad2 Tucson donated their services to develop a comprehensive branding and promotion of The Angel Children’s Center (ACC), a program of Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse. ACC provides recreational and educational programs for up to 87 children, ages two months through 12 years. ACC offers services to Emerge Clients, as well as the general public.
