2017-2018 Public Service Campaign Application

*Applications are due Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 11:55pm.

We will be holding interviews with three potential partners during the first two weeks of September. Once the Public Service Campaign recipient has been chosen, Ad 2 will conduct research, develop a campaign and generate assets in fall/winter 2017. This campaign is expected to launch at the beginning of 2018.

About the Ad 2 Public Service Campaign

Ad 2 members donate their time and varied professional marketing and advertising skills to produce a comprehensive marketing, advertising and/or public relations campaign for a selected local nonprofit. With this partnership, Ad 2 will plan, build and execute an individualized campaign to launch at the beginning of 2018. We are also excited to present the opportunities for fundraising and media placements in partnership with the American Advertising Federation Tucson for this year’s selected nonprofit organization.

Call for Volunteers

Are you interested in helping out with the 2018 Public Service Campaign? We’re looking for volunteers in all areas of advertising including marketing, public relations, design, web, photography, etc. What one thing can you do to help out?

Tucson Advertising Federation Educational Foundation

AAF Tucson is a strong supporter of education and has endowed an educational fund to support young professionals entering our industry. Scholarships and internships are awarded annually to local students to support their education, promote partnerships with local companies and to encourage new emerging talent to become part of our local professional community.

The Tucson Advertising Federation Educational Foundation (TAFEF) was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization to oversee the educational endowment fund. You can support TAFEF and our next generation of advertising professionals with a tax deductible contribution. Contact us for more information.

The AAF Tucson Media Partnership Program

AAF Tucson has partnered with select nonprofit organizations since 2000 to promote them and their services to the community through multi-media public service advertising campaigns.  Our non-profit beneficiaries currently include Tucson Children's Museum and the University of Arizona College of Science (See Tucson)

The program is truly a community partnership and could not work without the support and generosity of our media partners. The results have been outstanding, with well over $5 million donated in advertising support. Our bilingual public service advertising campaign done for United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona was the largest PSA project ever conducted in Southern Arizona. Other participating non-profits have included the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona and Tu Nidito.

With the inception of the media partnership program, AAF Tucson created a sustaining Educational Endowment Fund. Scholarships have been awarded annually to Student Advertising Federation members of Southwest University of Visual Arts, The Art Institute of Tucson, Pima Community College and University of Arizona. A Multicultural Advertising Education Scholarship has also been awarded annually. In 2013, an Internship Program was created to provide even greater benefits to AAF chapter students through paid industry related work experience.

AAF Tucson has received national recognition and been awarded for Public Service in the AAF National Club Achievement Competition for the program, which has also served as a model for other AAF chapters across the country.
