Ad2 Tucson Receives National Club Achievement Award Recognition / 04/03/2015 11:34 am

Tucson, AZ – April 3, 2015: Ad2 Tucson,an affiliate of American Advertising Federation Tucson, has received special recognition with in the American Advertising Federation’s 2015 National Club Achievement Competition. The local chapter received the 1st Place award in the Membership category.

Ad2 Tucson will be honored along with other award winning AAF and Ad2 chapters from across the United States  at the American Advertising Federation’s Salute to Achievers Luncheon on Saturday, June 13, 2015 during the AAF National Conference, ADMERICA! in Las Vegas, Nevada. AAF Tucson celebrates its 70th year in 2015 and with Ad2 Tucson, is comprised of over 300 local advertising and media professionals. Local 2015 AAF District 12 ADDY Awards® Winners Announced / 04/14/2015 1:50 pm

April 14, 2015 - American Advertising Federation District 12 ADDY Awards® judging was completed this past weekend in El Paso, Texas, with a distinguished judging panel of advertising creative professionals from across the United States.  The District competition included a total of 323 entries from seven advertising federation clubs throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and El Paso.

American Advertising Federation Tucson forwarded 72 Gold and Silver ADDY award winning entries from the local awards event held on March 14, 2015.  Of those entries, twelve received District ADDY Award recognition, including seven professional and five student awards. 

 Crown Chimp Productions earned three District Silver ADDYS for “Lawrence & Battle” in Audio/Visual, and for Brothers” and “Fish Hook Trailerin Cinematography. Abbott Media Productions won a District Silver ADDY for “Accelerate ID/AST Instrument” in Animation/Special Effects. Buffalo Exchange was awarded a District Silver ADDY for their 40th Anniversary Airstream Pop-up Shopin Branded Environment. Casino del Sol Resort earned a District Silver ADDY for the “El Tour de Tucson Jersey” in Apparel. James Patrick Photography received a District Silver ADDY for his Dancer in Flightin Color Photography.

In the student categories, a District Gold Student ADDY was awarded to Matthew Mann from The Art Institute of Tucson for “Home Depot Billboards” in Campaigns. Marcus Coltrin from Pima Community College earned a District Gold Student ADDY for A Self Portrait Through the Lens of Time in Illustration. Emeric Charley from Southwest University of Visual Arts also received a District Gold Student ADDY for Fighting the Food Chain in Animation/Special Effects.

Two Students from The Art Institute of Tucson also received District Silver ADDY Awards; Ronnie Reimers Jr. for “Raven Line Design” and Anthony Ezra Arvizu for “Foxy Wine Collection”, both in Packaging.

Gold and Silver ADDY® Award winning entries from the District 12 competition are eligible to compete in the AAF National ADDY® Awards competition, which will be judged in May. The final tier of awards will be announced during the national awards gala event on Saturday, June 13th at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of the 2015 AAF National Conference, ADMERICA!

Paul O'RourkeApril 22, 2015 - Bolchalk/ FReY Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations has announced that Paul O'Rourke has joined the firm as Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations.
 
O'Rourke is an award winning communications professional with over 20 years of experience working on both the client and agency side of the business.  He has designed and implemented marketing, public relations and media campaigns for clients that have included celebrities, professional sports figures, corporations and non-profits. 
    
He brings to the agency strong partnerships with local and national media successfully landing clients on the stages of the Oprah Winfrey Show, The Tonight Show, The Today Show, Good Morning America, on the covers of national newspapers, and as international trending topics on social media. O'Rourke's special expertise includes use of social media deploying messaging concepts with viral potential.  

In 1990 he earned his BA degree in media arts from the University of Arizona and received the 40 Under Forty Award in 1995.  Paul is a member of the board of directors for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
